1-    Vrije Universitieit (VU) Amsterdam Fellowship Program

This scholarship is highly selective and it is opened for strongly motivated students academically.

  2- HU Excellent Scholarship

Eligibility/Requirement

Open to Non-EU/EEA students with excellent academic results (GPA of 3.3 or B+)

Open to students who are not receiving grants from any other scholarship.

Selection is based on student’s motivation and academic results.

Scholarship value:

This scholarship is worth € 3,500 per student ( in case of excellent study progress, minimum of 55 out of 60 ECTS credits a year, students can re-apply for scholarship each year.

Note: First year applicants are requested to fill an application form with a motivation letter inclusive.

3- UAF scholarship

          Eligibility/Requirement                                                                                                                              

   It is opened for highly skilled refugee students living in the Netherlands.

The application is also opened to asylum seekers and refugees who have been in the Dutch asylum procedure and who have good training to start higher education and who can speak English, French or Dutch.

4- Radboud Scholarship Program

Eligibility/Requirement.

Applicant should have a non-EU/EEA passport and has not been previously eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee.

Applicant must have been fully admitted into the English-taught Master’s program (prove of admission letter).

Applicant should be ready to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands. Applicant should be enrolled at Raboud University as a full time student for the academic year Master’s program for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Value of scholarship grant: Offered to 20 highly talented students and the scholarship duration is one (1) or two (2) years depending on the program.

To qualify for the second year grant, student need to; have passed all the courses in the first year and need to provide the International Office before the end of the current academic year with a signed and stamped Transcript of Grades and a letter of recommendation by the Masters degree program.

Selected scholarship receivers will not have such grants they will have to pay the regular tuition fee instead of the fee for non-EEA students. The Radboud Scholarship includes a reimbursement for additional costs for non-EEA students (such as costs for visa, residence permit and health and liability insurance.)

5- L’Oreal UNESCO for Women in Science

  ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENT
a) The UNESCO Fellowship application form duly completed, in English or in French, in duplicate. Two recent photographs should be included with the form.
b) An e-mail address regularly used by the candidate.
c) Certified copies of degree or diplomas (including transcript of grades) in duplicate. Proof either of having obtained a Ph.D. degree or of being in the process of studying for a Ph.D. degree must be included.
d) A list of publications, if any.
e) A letter of recommendation from someone familiar with the candidate’s work.
f) A host institute’s letter of acceptance (i.e. the institute that has accepted the candidate for work should she be selected for a fellowship). This letter of acceptance must indicate the name of the academic supervisor, the date and duration, and the host institute’s willingness to provide the relevant training facilities required by the candidate in the chosen field of specialization.
g) The certificate of language proficiency (on UNESCO form) duly completed in duplicate for the language of the country of study (should this be different from the candidate’s mother tongue) and signed by the competent authority.
h) A detailed description, one to two page(s) (maximum), in either English or French, of the research work for which the candidature is being put forward.

Open to talented and committed women scientists from all over the world, active in the field of life sciences (age limit 35 years).

Candidates must already be engaged in pursuing research at the doctoral or post-doctoral level in one or allied fields of life sciences. Note that application has to be done by the National Commission for UNESCO of applicants’ country of origin.

Every year the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO can propose four Dutch candidates for the fellowship to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Non-Dutch nationals are requested to contact their National Commission for UNESCO of their country of origin. At least half of the period of the fellowship must be undertaken abroad. All fellows are required to complete the research project in her own country for a minimum of two months.

Note:

Every year l’Oréal – UNESCO offers 15 fellowships to young female researchers. For Europe and North America a maximum of 3 fellowships will be awarded.

Closing date: May, 31 is the deadline for preliminary applications at the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO. June, 30 is the deadline for application done by the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
