1) Cardiff University Undergraduate International Scholarships

Scholarship value: 3 times Full Tuition Fee awards these awards will cover tuition fees (maximum Science fees) for students studying Undergraduate courses (for a maximum of 3 years only).

3 times Part Tuition Fee awards
3 awards of £5,000 per year (for a maximum of 3 years only).

Deadline : Friday 31st May 2013

2) Postgraduate Taught Scholarships

Cardiff University Postgraduate Taught International Scholarships

Scholarship value: 6 times Full Tuition Fee awards these awards will cover tuition fees (maximum Science fees) for students studying Postgraduate Taught courses (for a maximum of 1 year).

8 times Part Tuition Fee awards these awards will cover half tuition fees (maximum Science fees) for students studying Postgraduate Taught courses (for a maximum of 1 year).

The deadline to submit an application for the Postgraduate Taught International Scholarships is: 1300 (GMT) Friday 31st May 2013

3)The Fulbright-Cardiff University Award

The US-UK Educational Commission (Fulbright Commission) aims to foster mutual understanding through educational links between the UK and United States. Cardiff University offers its own Fulbright Scholarship for postgraduate students, in partnership with the Fulbright Commission.

Country of origin: US nationals’ only

Field of study: Postgraduate

Scholarship value: The scholarship holder will receive a fee waiver to the value of one year’s overseas tuition fees, applicable to one year programs or the first year of a longer masters or PhD program at Cardiff University. The scholarship holder will also receive a stipend of £10,000 from the Fulbright Commission.

4) The Cardiff University Academic Elite (UKEAS) Scholarship

The Cardiff University Academic Elite Scholarship is offered in collaboration with our education advisers, UKEAS, to international postgraduate taught Chinese nationals. Applications are welcomed from all Chinese nationals applying for postgraduate studies at Cardiff University through UKEAS.

 

Country of origin: China only

Field of study: Postgraduate Taught Programs.

There is one Cardiff University Academic Elite (UKEAS) Scholarship offered for 2013.

Scholarship value: tuition fee reduction to the value of £2,000

How to apply at cardiff University

If you would like to apply for the International Foundation Programme, simply complete the application form and send it to the English Language Programmes office:

If you want to make an application while you are waiting for a piece of information (e.g. a translation of your exam results or English Language test) you can do so, you must then send us the additional information when you receive it.

 

What should you include?

 

  • The completed application form, including personal statement, signature and date
  • Transcripts of school results so far, including subjects studied and grades achieved
  • Evidence of English language test results or state when you will sit the exam/receive the result
  • A copy of the photograph page of your passport which MUST include your passport number
  • Two academic references

All applicants who are offered a place on the IFP for Health & Life Sciences (September 2013 entry) with a view to progressing to a degree course in Medicine (September 2014 entry) will be required to apply through UCAS to meet the 15 October 2013 deadline whilst on the Foundation Programme. In addition, all applicants are required to take the national UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UK-CAT) during July-October 2013. Comprehensive information on this (including specimen test questions) can be found on the UKCAT website.

Final decisions on applications received for the IFP for Health & Life Sciences for Medicine will be made in early July 2013.
