1) BDPA/BETF Eli Lilly Information Technology Scholarship

Eli Lilly, in association with the Black Data Processing Associates Education and Technology Foundation (BDPA/BETF) offers this program to recognize outstanding minority students who have an interest in information technology, and who make significant contributions to society.

Scholarship value: $2,500

Eligibility Requirement.
Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are graduating high school seniors or current college students, with a minimum GPA of 3.0; they must demonstrate leadership ability through academic or civic involvement and participation in community service activities.

Financial assistance from BrainTrack allows qualifying students to pursue associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral degrees in computer science, information systems, or information technology.

Eligibility Requirement
The program is open to current students who have completed at least one semester in a computer science program and are currently pursuing a degree. Students must be enrolled in one or more relevant courses at the time of the entry deadline.  Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.

The scholarship is only available to U.S. citizens who are permanent residents, or to those with appropriate student visas.

3) AFCEA Cyber Studies & Intelligence Scholarships

These scholarships are awarded to qualifying students pursuing academic degrees in cyber security, computer science, information technology, or electronic engineering. The scholarship is sponsored by The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA)

Scholarship value: $1,000 to $5,000

Country of origin: USA

Eligibility Requirements.
The program is open to U.S. citizens who are sophomore or junior undergraduates or graduate students enrolled full-time in an eligible degree-granting program (distance-learning or online programs affiliated with a major U.S. institution are eligible).

A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Applicant must be majoring in a field directly related to the support of U.S. cyber enterprises, U.S. intelligence, or homeland security enterprise.  The major should align with the mission of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.  Sample options include global security and intelligence studies, foreign languages, cyber security, cyber attack, computer science, information technology, or electronic engineering.

3)   MSc Scholarships in Computer Science  University of Birmingham

Both the university and the School of Computer Science offer scholarships and bursaries annually for both Home/EU and International students wishing to study for a Masters degree in a Computer Science subject. Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved, or expect to achieve, excellent academic results. Scholarships are available for all Computer Science Masters programs. These scholarships are been offered by Paul and Yuanbi Ramsay MSc Bursay.

Scholarship value: There are two MSc bursaries of £4,950.

Eligibility

Applicants must be from the UK or European Union and must be from a low income background or in receipt of benefits.

4) International Student Master’s Scholarships

Scholarship value: A £3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a number of privately funded, full fee paying, international Master’s students.

Eligibility

This scholarship is awarded to applicants who have achieved or expect to achieve excellent academic results in their previous degree, for instance are ranked within the top 5% of their year.

Applicants must have accepted an offer for one of the School’s MSc programs. These scholarships are open to students from outside the European Union. Applicants are nominated by the Admissions Tutors: please indicate that you wish to be considered when completing your application to study an MSc.

Requirements

1)      Two references: You must arrange for two references to be provided to us. These should be written by two people who know you well. At least one reference must be written by someone who taught you when you studied for a previous degree.

2)      Transcripts of grades or marks: We must receive a list of the subjects you have studied in your previous degrees. This list should include the marks or grades you were given for each subject. If you haven’t finished your degree, you should send a transcript of the grades you were awarded in the previous years.

3)      A statement of research (for the MSc Advanced Computer Science ONLY): The MSc in Advanced Computer Science is research oriented, and includes two mini-projects and a summer project, written in the style of a peer-reviewed scientific journal paper. Your application should include two sides of A4 with research interests and tentative ideas that you plan to develop for these three projects. They should normally be close to the research interest of the School (please consult the web pages of lecturers, professors and research staff). Once you are admitted, you will have an opportunity to revise or change your research plans after discussion with your project supervisors. But it is important at application time to know that you are interested and have potential skills for research, as well as some tentative plans. The Statement of Research is an opportunity for you to demonstrate this.

2013 LPDP Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships for Indonesian Students

Public Service Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) offers master and doctoral scholarships for Indonesian students. The scholarship is tenable in Indonesia and abroad. It has focused on the six (6) areas of scientific priorities including engineering, science, agriculture, accounting / finance, law and religion.

Level of study: Master’s and doctoral program

Country of origin: Indonesia

Areas of study: Science, Agriculture, Accounting, Finance, Law and Religion.

Eligibility:

-Indonesian citizens indicated the identity of the legitimate population;

-Graduates of the program of study:

Universities in the country accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education or graduate university official recognized by the government of Indonesia.

Universities abroad are categorized either as listed in the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture;

-Having demonstrated leadership with experience leading an organization or institution represented by the relevant documentary evidence;

-Active in social activities as indicated by evidence of relevant documents;

Have completed and earned academic degrees: Bachelor / Bachelor of Applied for Masters Program applicants and Masters to PhD program applicants

Maximum age for applicants’ scholarship at the close of registration is: 35 (thirty-five) years for the Master program and 40 (forty) years for doctoral program

Grade Point Average (GPA) is the minimum: 3.00, on a scale of 4, for graduates who will study Master and 3.25, on a scale of 4, for a Masters graduate who will study PhD.

The ability of foreign languages:

ITP TOEFL minimum of 500 for study programs in / PhD in universities in the country

TOEFL PBT at least 550 or an equivalent for the study programs in / PhD in foreign universities and / or has had a Letter of Acceptance (LOA)

For applicants who choose Master or Doctoral study programs abroad who do not use English as the language of academic instruction, can adapt to the requirements of the applicable foreign language skills in college.

Scholarship Value
For doctoral candidates, the maximum rate of scholarship support is 1,050.00 EUR per month plus a research cost allowance of 100.00 EUR. Married scholarship holders can obtain an additional family allowance of 155.00 EUR if the net annual income of the spouse does not exceed 15,340.00 EUR. Childcare support for doctoral candidates: Doctoral candidates with a child of their own, which is under 12 years old and lives with them in their own home, can informally apply for a monthly childcare allowance of 155.00 EUR. Ahilik Vocational Training Scholarship includes 2 year programs. This program provides scholarships for vocational schools.

Ahilik Vocational Training Scholarship Program is available for non-Turkish nationals from all countries.

 

Application Requirements

Candidates who have graduated or are likely to graduate from an educational institution equivalent to that of Turkeys in the present academic (i.e. bachelor’s degree for master’s level) can apply to Türkiye Scholarships.

There is also age condition for candidates required to meet.

• For applicants applying to Undergraduate Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.1992,

• For applicants applying to Master’s Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.1983,

• For applicants applying to PhD Degree: Those who were born no earlier than 01.01.1978.

It is expected to have certain academic score from candidates for each program and scholarship level. There are specific minimum score of the program that you are applying at “assessment and selection” section.

Students who are currently studying in Turkey are not allowed to apply to the level that they are already studying.

Turkish citizens and persons who lost Turkish citizenship cannot apply for this scholarship program.

Assessment and Selection

KAAD development scholarships

These scholarships are geared towards the development of African countries and societies for  qualified individuals. The program is for citizens from sub-Saharan Africa. And the scholarships are opened especially for young university graduates who have taken responsibility in church and society and want to be empowered. The scholarship is divided into two programs. The aim of this scholarship is to promote the so-called “Agents of Change.”

Beneficiaries of KAAD-scholarships are predominantly from needy families  who display academic excellence.

   Scholarship Program 1

Country of origin: Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America

Field of study: Master’s degree, PhD, Post doctoral research project (2-6 months for established university Lecturers.)

  Eligibility/Requirement

  • have a university degree and professional experience from your home country
  • Are a Catholic Christian (or general belong to a Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their commitment to interreligious dialogue
  • Possess German language skills before starting the studies (KAAD can provide maximum 6 months of the training in Germany.)                                                             .
  • Above-average performance in studies and research from a university in applicant’s home country.
  • The orientation of your studies or research towards permanent reintegration in your home region
  • Religious and social commitment and willingness to inter-religious dialogue.

Scholarship Program 2

Country of origin: Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America.                                               

Field of study: Master’s degree and PhD.

Eligibility/Requirement

  • are already studying at a German University,
  • Applicants for master programs may present their documents as early as during the final semester of their bachelor programs.
  • Applicant should be a Catholic Christian (or – particularly for candidates from the Middle East – belong to another Christian denomination). Candidates from other religions can apply if they are proposed by Catholic partners and can prove their commitment to interreligious dialogue.
  • Possess German language skills (at least general communication level).
  • Above-average performance in studies and research
  • The orientation of your studies or research towards permanent reintegration in your home region (otherwise the scholarship is turned into a loan),
  • Religious and social commitment and willingness to inter-religious dialogue.

 

The focus countries in Africa today are: Ghana, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and Kenya. Uganda and Tanzania are counted to be part of the focus region East Africa, apart from Kenya. Local partner bodies, and or partner countries are Cameroon and Nigeria.

In the focus countries Ghana, Kenya and Zimbabwe, there is – within the scholarship 1(S1) program – also the possibility for Master-scholarships at local universities (so called “in-country scholarships”).

5- L’Oreal – UNESCO for Women in Science

  ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENT
a) The UNESCO Fellowship application form duly completed, in English or in French, in duplicate. Two recent photographs should be included with the form.
b) An e-mail address regularly used by the candidate.
c) Certified copies of degree or diplomas (including transcript of grades) in duplicate. Proof either of having obtained a Ph.D. degree or of being in the process of studying for a Ph.D. degree must be included.
d) A list of publications, if any.
e) A letter of recommendation from someone familiar with the candidate’s work.
f) A host institute’s letter of acceptance (i.e. the institute that has accepted the candidate for work should she be selected for a fellowship). This letter of acceptance must indicate the name of the academic supervisor, the date and duration, and the host institute’s willingness to provide the relevant training facilities required by the candidate in the chosen field of specialization.
g) The certificate of language proficiency (on UNESCO form) duly completed in duplicate for the language of the country of study (should this be different from the candidate’s mother tongue) and signed by the competent authority.
h) A detailed description, one to two page(s) (maximum), in either English or French, of the research work for which the candidature is being put forward.

Open to talented and committed women scientists from all over the world, active in the field of life sciences (age limit 35 years).

Candidates must already be engaged in pursuing research at the doctoral or post-doctoral level in one or allied fields of life sciences. Note that application has to be done by the National Commission for UNESCO of applicants’ country of origin.

Every year the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO can propose four Dutch candidates for the fellowship to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Non-Dutch nationals are requested to contact their National Commission for UNESCO of their country of origin. At least half of the period of the fellowship must be undertaken abroad. All fellows are required to complete the research project in her own country for a minimum of two months.

Level of study: Master’s degree and PhD degree (for researchers only)

Field of study: Agriculture, forestry and fishery, Engineering, Environmental Science, Medical and health sciences, Natural sciences
Life sciences including biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, agriculture, medicine, pharmacy and physiology.

Scholarship value:

$20,000 per year (offered for 12 months with the possibility of extending to an additional 12 months.)

Note:

Every year l’Oréal – UNESCO offers 15 fellowships to young female researchers. For Europe and North America a maximum of 3 fellowships will be awarded.

Closing date: May, 31 is the deadline for preliminary applications at the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO. June, 30 is the deadline for application done by the Netherlands National Commission for UNESCO at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
